What Happens Now:
At this point, the Lane County Democratic Party will forward 3 to 5 names of nominees to the Lane County Commission, selected by Precinct Committeepersons from District 8. The County Commission will then select one of those to serve as State Representative for District 8 until a new Representative is elected and took office in a General Election. (If the County Commission refuses to select from the list provided, the Governor will make the appointment.)
